Bio

Dr. Tim Huber received his Masters degree in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University in 2001 and PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2007. He is currently an associate professor and Graduate Program Director for the School of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Tim is involved in a variety of initiatives to engage and empower students, with a particular emphasis on connecting students with research programs early in their careers. He chairs the departments outreach program, is co-director of his universitys summer LSAMP research program, and is the Faculty Advisor for the UTRGV Math Club. His research interests include analytic number theory, combinatorics, special functions, and elliptic modular forms.
