Bio

Dr. Talitha Washington is a Professor at Clark Atlanta University. She has been an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Howard University, an Associate Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Evansville and The College of New Rochelle, and a VIGRE Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics at Duke University. She earned her master's and doctoral degrees in mathematics from the University of Connecticut, and completed her undergraduate studies in mathematics at Spelman College.

Dr. Washingtons research is in analysis and mathematical modeling. She is interested in the application of ordinary and partial differential equations to model cellular processes, materials process and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Her work includes researching the life of Dr. Elbert Frank Cox, the first Black in the world to earn a PhD in mathematics.
