Bio
I am currently an associate professor at Tulane University. I received my PhD degree from Queens University, Canada, in 2000 under the supervision of A.V. Geramita. I then spent a year as a regular member at the Institute of Mathematics, Hanoi, Vietnam, and held a 3-year postdoctoral position at the University of Missouri. I joined the mathematics department at Tulane in 2004.
My research interest lies in the borderline of Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Geometry and Combinatorics. Particularly, I study invariants that govern the computational complexity of geometric objects (varieties) and algebraic formulations (ideals, modules and sheaves). I also investigate the interaction between graph theory and monomial ideals.
