Suzanne Sindi a Professor at the University of California, Merced. She is an applied mathematician whose research focuses on mathematical and computational biology. In particular, Suzanne works directly with experimental biologists to understand protein mis-folding phenotypes in yeast with the hope to yield insights to human neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease.
Before her position at UC Merced, Suzanne was an undergraduate at Cal State Fullerton, graduate student at the University of Maryland and post-doctoral researcher at Brown University. Outside of mathematics, Suzanne loves science fiction, travel and spending time outdoors especially at nearby Yosemite.
