Bio
I am an Associate Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the Colorado School of Mines.
My areas of research include Applied Analysis and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Modeling of HIV dynamics, and Multiscale Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of nanoscale physical phenomena. For the past seven years, I have been mentoring and directing research projects of several undergraduate students. Many of my students have written Honors theses, attended outside REUs, participated in the Center for Undergraduate Research in Mathematics program sponsored by BYU, and begun their graduate studies. In recent years, I've also mentored a number of graduate students and directed a few associated Masters theses. Im proud of them all.
