Dr. Qixuan Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of California, Riverside. Her research interests lie in mathematical biology, in particular, multiscale modeling of biological growth and microswimming. Her lab develops models and computational methods, and uses them to answer questions that arise in life sciences. Her lab is active in interdisciplinary research, and currently they are collaborating with leading biologists, physicists and engineers in the area.

Qixuan has worked with both undergraduate and graduate students, many of whom are from underrepresented groups. She is very happy to work with students considering pursuing a PhD degree in applied math as well as graduate students who are looking for a mentor. To learn more about Qixuan and her lab, please visit her website.
