Bio

Judith Packer was born in California, and spent her youth moving from seaport to seaport within the U.S. with her family, since her father was a member of the US Navy. Before the age of ten, she had lived in San Diego, California, Jacksonville, Florida, Washington D.C., Norfolk, Virginia, and Annapolis, Maryland. She also lived in Italy and Japan while growing up. Such an upbringing made her very interested in traveling.

After college at Wesleyan University, where she majored in mathematics, she went on to graduate school at Harvard University, where she earned a doctorate in mathematics and became a mathematician. She is married to James Jesudason, whom she met in college, and they lived in Singapore for over 15 years in total. They now live in Boulder, where she teaches at the CU Mathematics Department. Some of her hobbies are reading, kickboxing and watching movies.
