Bio
Jim Cushing is a Professor in the Mathematics Department and is a member of the Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Applied Mathematics. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in mathematics in 1964 and his PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Maryland in 1968 under the supervision of Monroe Martin.
His research interests are in dynamical systems and applications in ecology and evolution.
