Interactions between operator algebras and the dynamics of ultragraphs and labeled graphs

Bio

I was a graduate student at the University of Iowa, working under the guidance of Professor Paul S. Muhly. I received my Ph.D. degree in May 2005. Originally I am from Puerto Rico. At the moment I am a faculty member of the department of mathematics at the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon.

My research interest involves interactions between operator algebras and the dynamics of ultragraphs and labeled graphs. The connection is made using the theory of groupoid C*-algebras and inverse semigroups. My research program contains another somewhat independent direction related to the theory of completely positive maps on matrix algebras (also called quantum channels).
