University of Montana: Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Montana has 21 tenured or tenure-track faculty members, 5 of whom are female. We offer both MA and Ph.D. degrees, including a Ph.D. option focused on the preparation of future 4-year-college faculty. We have between 25 and 30 students, almost all of whom are domestic students. We are committed to increasing the numbers of under-represented minorities and women in our program. We have excellent advising and support structures in place for all students, and ave good retention rates in our programs.
