Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics

The Mathematics Department seeks a full-time, tenure track, entry-level Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics, starting Fall 2019. The ideal candidate’s research interests will be in mathematics with applications to the sciences, management, or other disciplines. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in (applied) mathematics by the start of appointment. Applicants should have the potential for conducting high quality research, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and serve as mentor to undergraduate mathematics and statistics majors.

Founded in 1925 by Saint Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, XULA is Catholic and historically Black. Located in New Orleans, the mission of the University is to contribute to the promotion of a more just and humane society by preparing its students to assume roles of leadership and service in a global society.
