New Deputy Director, Associate Director Appointed
SAMSI announces Sujit Ghosh, Professor of Statistics at North Carolina State University and currently Program Director in the NSF Division of Mathematical Sciences will be the new Deputy Director at SAMSI beginning this September. Tom Witelski will be the new Associate Director of SAMSI representing Duke University, beginning in July. (read more)

Team Led by SAMSI Researchers Creates Method to Predict Finish Times for the 2013 Boston Marathon
A team of SAMSI researchers and others helped Boston Marathon organizers come up with a method to predict what the completion times would have been for the thousands of runners who were unable to complete the race in 2013. (read more)
