The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Loyola University Chicago (LUC) invites applicants for several Assistant Professor positions in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. LUC has consistently provided transformative education in the Jesuit tradition and maintained a commitment to social justice. These searches seek outstanding researchers and teachers who reflect our diverse student body, as well as our commitment to interdisciplinarity and the pursuit of external grants. Of special interest are candidates who can further LUC’s efforts to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The department has over 35 full-time faculty members and several active research groups. We serve over 400 majors and minors across 7 undergraduate programs in mathematics, statistics and data science, and 2 master’s programs. All positions require a Ph.D. in an area of mathematics at the time of appointment.
