The American Mathematical Society (AMS), in conjunction with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), sponsors this fellowship. It includes an orientation on congressional and executive branch operations, and a year-long seminar series on issues involving science, technology and public policy.
The AMS Congressional Fellow spends a year working on the staff of a Congress member or on a congressional committee, assisting in legislative and policy areas that require scientific and technical input.
Fellowship dates are Sept 1, 2021-August 31, 2022.
