Birmingham-Southern College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Mathematics beginning fall 2016.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field by August 2016. Providing an outstanding undergraduate education is the primary mission of the College, and applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The typical teaching load is 3-1-3, and the successful candidate will also be expected to engage in continued scholarly activity appropriate to a faculty position at a liberal arts college. All faculty members are expected to participate fully in the life of the department and College through activities such as academic advising and committee service.

Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) is a selective residential liberal arts college enrolling approximately 1300 undergraduate students.
