The “Robert Parris Moses Congressional Gold Medal Act” has been introduced in Congress. This is very exciting and I thank those of you who have helped in this effort. Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY district 13) introduced it, and I am extremely grateful to his DC staff Monica Garay and Francesco Arreaga for helping.
- You can read the bill text, and see other details about it here.
- You can read the press release here.
- You can watch Maisha Moses when she joined Rep. Espaillat during his virtual Black History Month town hall to speak on the legacy of her father: https://espaillat.house.gov/media/videos
We now need to get lots of support, from other Congressional members, to get it to the finish line.
- Please go here, and write your own Congressional member urging them to sign on (we need 290 members of the House).
This is very easy, takes less than a minute!
